MEET DANIEL CHAVEZ:

ROOTED IN ALBUQUERQUE. READY TO LEAD IT.

Albuquerque is a place with great potential. It’s where I was born and raised by a family of educators. I watched my dad — one of ten kids who grew up in poverty — make something of himself. He became a commissioned naval officer and a professor at UNM, and he made it his life’s mission to lift up students who, like him, weren’t supposed to make it. But because of him, they did.

Our city is broken.
Crime and homelessness are driving families and businesses out.

When I was 15, I worked six days a week, 16-hour days valeting cars. It was a crash course in business, hard work, and serving people. That experience became the foundation for the company I run today.

As a local business owner, I’ve seen how strong businesses build strong communities — and how fast that can fall apart without real leadership. I see a different path forward. I’m taking a cue from my dad and making it my mission to help the people of Albuquerque who are being left behind. As Mayor, I’ll do what it takes to turn a bleak future into a better one — for all of us.
